In 1943 Ray Emerick, Sr. and his wife,
Emilia, used their single truck to start the Mayfield Transfer Company.
By offering their customers’ superior service and reasonable
prices, the Mayfield’s business grew steadily. In order to
keep pace with their customers’ expansions, the Emerick’s
adopted a philosophy of excellence to assure that Mayfield Transfer's
services and territories grew in proportion to their customers needs.
Following this philosophy, Mayfield Transfer has expanded its fleet
to over 250 units many equipped with refrigerators covering 12 states.
Four terminals service the Midwest; the main terminal is located
in Melrose Park, IL with supporting terminals in Milwaukee, WI, Roseville,
MN and Urbana, IL. |
